Mystery Shoe of the Week: Solved!

Last week I showed you this mystery shoe....

Consider the mystery solved! These Aztec print wedges are by Givenchy from the Spring/ Summer 2010 collection, I can't believe I slept on these!... they also come in a black and white colour.

Givenchy Jersey Print open toe wedges
They are £990 ($1600) a pair *ouch*, but as per usual I found an alternative. They are by Jeffrey Campbell, he imitates the same bold print but opted for a modest wedge with added studs, they are definitely  more gentle on your pocket at about £105 ($169).

Jeffrey Campbell "Tick" Tribal Wedges
I personally prefer the sky high platforms that Givenchy has to offer but do like the detailling on the Jeffrey Campbell heel, and unlike the Givenchys' these are still available.... so buy them here . MYSTERY SOLVED!

eBay VS Kurt Geiger

So I was browsing through the Kurt Geiger website, as you do and came across this picture of a model sporting these amazing wedges (I'll stop the wedge talk for a while after this post... well I'll try!)

Kurt Geiger Genero Wedges, £250

With a 5.5 inch heel, chunky wedge and ankle strap, these babies are spot on the colour blocking trend. So I scoured the website looking for them only to find that they were sold out (womp womp). With a little more digging I found a very good copy cat version on eBay!

Can you tell the difference? Now I'm not the biggest fan of replica's, but at £29.99 you really can't go wrong, of course you'll be sacrificing genuine suede for faux suede. Get these eBay wedges here

These chunky T- bar wedges have been popping up all over the place...

1. Green and Tan High Selling Wedges, eBay £29.99

2. Monestry Biege wedges, Garage Shoes £35.00

3. Cindy T-bar Super High Wedges, Missguided £35.99

Nice!

Shoe-la-la!: J- Hud in Loubou wedges

Jennifer Hudson was spotted out and about in Manhattan, getting ready for her appearence on The Late Show with David Letterman.

She wore Christian Louboutin's Super Dombasle cork wedges. It seems like wedges are a trending topic on here!

After some digging around I found out that Steve Madden does a very good and much more affordable version of the wedge at around £96 ($158), and he adds his own little bit of pizazz!

Kelly Rowland X Factor Looks

Did I mention that I heart Kelly Rowland!? She's still doing her X Factor rounds and STILL looking good.

She wore a pretty white lace dress, with a gold mirrored belt, accompanied by one of my favourite designers... yep Mr Zanotti!

Then she changed into a mustard Moschino blazer, printed t-shirt and black skirt for this smart casual look. Teamed with these beautiful Alexander McQueen Samurai Scrimshaw Scale sandals, I love the detailing on the heels.

These might put a slight hole in your pocket though, they retail at about £840 ($1375).

Hot or Not? : Kim Kardashian in Gucci

Kim Kardashian graced the streets of London yesterday to launch her new self titled fragrance, and her look came straight from the Gucci Spring/Summer 2011 runway, even down to her shoes.

What do you think?

Trend Watch: Kitten Heels

It looks like the kitten heel is making a come back! Yay! With celebrities like Alexa Chung and Michelle Obama donning the modest heel, who else will follow suit? Read on as I try to break down this comfortable but somewhat unwanted trend.

What is a Kitten Heel?

The kitten heel, which got its name because of its resemblance to a kittens claw, is a small heel of 2 inches or less. They were first introduced in the 1950's as an alternative for young adolescent girls, as the higher heels were considered to have too many sexual connotations.

The 1950's were all about the kitten heel

So we know that fashion comes full circle, and top designers like Christian Louboutin and even our favourite high street stores have locked into the smaller heel. Now as a lover of the sky scraper I've had my fair share of *clears throat* accidents, so you would think I'd jumping for joy about the 'safer' heel.. errm no

The kitten heel does nothing for a woman's figure, it does not accentuate her calves or elongate her legs... but hey, each to their own. I personally will be sticking to the killer heels, be it the death of me.

So what do you think, will you be trading in your 6 inches?

We Love!: Giuseppe Zanotti Platform Wedges

Keri Hilson is in London promoting her No Boys Allowed album, and she hit Merah club in the west end with a fairly casual look. But she was wearing one of my favourite pairs of shoes I've seen this year, with the 5 1/2" heel and a 2" platform, these Giuseppe Zanotti wedges are to die for!

I'm in love!

Nice Footwork Kelly!

I heart Kelly Rowland. The new X Factor judge was greeted in Glasgow today by some Scottish dancer's,  and she showed off her Fendi Liberty shoes from the spring/summer 2011 collection as well as her dance moves.

Work it Kelly!

Red Carpet: 2011 MTV Movie Awards

Los Angeles hosted the 2011 MTV Movie Awards on Sunday night, and all though Nicki Minaj's outfit is much to be desired as usual, her shoe game was on point!

Nicki stepped out in these gold tone crystal embellished wedges by Gianmarco Lorenzi.

Love it!
